FTISLAND (FT아일랜드) is a South Korean three-member boy band under FNC Entertainment. The group members consist of Hongki, Jaejin, and Minhwan. They debuted on June 7, 2007 with the album “Cheerful Sensibility.”

FTISLAND Facts:
– The band’s name, FTISLAND, is a short form for “Five Treasure Island”.
– They are known as Korea’s first Idol band.
– The group is labelmates with groups like CNBLUE, AOA, SF9, P1Harmony, Ampers&One and N.Flying.

– They made their Japanese debut a year later in 2008 with “Prologue of FTISLAND -Soyogi-”.
– The group formed the subunit F.T. Triple, consisting of Minhwan, Jaejin and Junghoon in 2009 and they were known as “A3” in Japan.

– FTISLAND was famous for having crazy fans during their early debut days and the members said they heard fans trying to unlock their front door when they were inside, once tried to chase them with a cab and crashed with their van, would break into their home and steal their stuff, and camp outside the emergency exit. The worst of them was when they saw that one fan had taken a dump in their room.
Achievements
– FTISLAND became the first foreign male band in Japan that topped the Oricon Daily Charts in 42 years.
– In 2014, the band performed at China’s biggest music festival “Zebra Music Festival” and the tickets got sold out before the festival even started. (En News World)
– The song “Love Sick” from the their debut album topped the Kpop music charts for eight weeks consecutively.
