Victim of Phishing Scam

– Luna was a victim of voice phishing through the KakaoTalk messaging app on December 17, 2018.
– The criminal asked Luna’s mother to send 5.7 million won to the manager’s bank account and later sent two more requests for 6 million won each.
– Luna’s mother suspected something was wrong after receiving the third request with different payee names and total amount, and the criminal later sent a KakaoTalk message to Luna’s mother asking for 6 million won in Luna’s name.

Experience as a K-Pop Idol

– Luna revealed in an interview that she felt mute throughout her career as a kpop idol and now expressing herself felt like a huge blessing.
– She said that she felt like she was losing herself in order to appear like a perfect “Luna”.
– She deeply relates to her character “MwE” in the Broadway musical “KPOP”.
– She said that her biggest regrets in career were doing everything quickly and not spending time with family and friends.

Philanthropic Activities

– In 2015, she made and sold a doll at an auction in a UNICEF event. The doll’s name was “Love.”
– Luna partnered with C’esttout in February 2017 to launch “Girls Can Do Anything,” a collection of undergarments that raised funds for the Korean Unwed Mothers’ Families Association. Luna also donated over 14,000 sanitary pads to the organization.
