VINII (ヴィニー) is an upcoming five-member Japanese girl group under VOLVE CREATIVE. The group consists of Rinne, Saki, Tyra, Takara, and May. Their debut is unknown.

1. Rinne

Rinne Facts:

– Rinne has been active since 2013.
– She was born in Hokkaido, Japan.
– She is a rapper.
– She said she has always escaped from being a leader because of the expectations and the pressure.
– She debuted when she was in middle school. (BLACK&WHITE Vol.7)
– She said she gets very shy around strangers.
– She has an experience of 12 to 13 years.
– She released her debut album “Uraharanway.ep.” in March 2017.
– She participated and became a finalist in the Chinese rap show “Girls Like Us.”
– Her Chinese zodiac sign is Dragon.
– In 2016, she released the band MAGI(c)PEPA.
– After she turned 20, she went to China for a year to participate in the audition show.
– Her most difficult time during her career was when she went to China for a year and realized after returning that her fans didn’t remember her as much because she couldn’t communicate with them during her one year stay in China. She changed her stage name to English and started from scratch.

2. Saki

Saki Facts:

– Saki was announced as the first member of VINII.
– She was born in Osaka, Japan.
– She used to perform live concerts since she was in fourth grade. (BLACK&WHITE Vol.7)
– She has performed as a solo artist for around 10 years.
– She was Rinne’s IG story of BLACK&WHITE audition and thought about trying it out.
– Her father used to be a vocalist in a band during his high school or university days.
– Her mother used to be very skilled at piano.
– She grew up being surrounded by music so she loved singing since she was young.
– She likes to play soccer in her spare time.
– Her Chinese zodiac sign is Goat.
– She picked dance as an extracurricular activity during elementary school. The teacher recommended her to join the other academy which has advanced dance classes so she joined. Later they were offering singing classes for half the price so she dropped dancing and joined the singing classes.
– She won the singing contest in her school that had branches all around the world and realized maybe she is good at singing and decided to pursue it professionally.
– She appeared on the music TV show “Ongaku Champ” during her third year of middle school.
– She sang the theme song for the national high school football tournament and performed her first national tour. She had her performances at the stadiums in all of Japan and also did her own shopping mall tour.
– She thought she had her life planned after Japan tour but then the pandemic hit and her fans decreased in numbers because she didn’t use social media and couldn’t perform live during the time.
– In the past, she said if she didn’t practice singing for 4 or 5 hours she would get yelled at.
– She is passionate about fashion.
– She said she often gets described as perfectionist or stoic but she thinks she is both but she is also kind of spoiled and a cheerful person.

3. Tyra

Tyra Facts:

– Tyra was born in Sasei, Nagasaki, Japan.
– She likes imagining and playing bass in her spare time.
– She used to work part time jobs and take on other gigs.
– A year before the audition, she was active in a co-ed dance and vocal group. (BLACK&WHITE Vol.13)
– After her dance crew got disbanded, she saw the ad for the audition and applied because she always wanted to do a job that involved singing and dancing.
– Her Chinese zodiac sign is Monkey.
– She was revealed as the third member of VINII.
– She said she often deals with a negative mindset and low confidence but after participating in the audition, she felt more confident.
– Her family ran a small dance school in Nagasaki so she grew up in an environment where dance was a part of her life.
– Her mother is from a white background and her father is from a black background.
– She moved to Tokyo when she was 17 years old.
– When she was in her 2nd or 3rd year of elementary school she went to see a Janet Jackson concert and won a surprise ticket so she was able to see her from the front and remembers it as one of the most inspiring moments of her life.
– The time she felt really judged and nervous was during the first time she auditioned alone.
– She finds May very inspiring because of her positive nature.
– She said she used to be the type of person that would care a lot about people’s opinion but now feels more relaxed and optimistic.

4. Takara

Takara Facts:

– Takara was formerly in BUSTERS as the main rapper and main dancer.
– She was born in Osaka, Japan.
– She became a member of BUSTERS in March 2020 and left in March 2025.
– Her unforgettable moment is when in 2024, she performed at a concert in Yokohama and met D-LITE from BIGBANG.
– She loves BIGBANG and said they are the reason she became interested in Korea and Kpop.
– She would describe herself in one word as “sorceress”.
– She wants to try taking acting lessons.
– She and the older sister of TWICE’s Momo used to train at the same dance studio.
– She is fluent in English, Japanese, Korean and body language.
– In her fifth grade of elementary school, she watched BIGBANG’s MV “Fantastic Baby” and was inspired by the group and became interested in Kpop.
– She was scouted in 2019.
– She is close with Yeseo from MADEIN and she would learn Korean from her and teach her Japanese.

May Facts:

– May doesn’t have any prior experience in the entertainment industry.
– She was born in Tokyo, Japan.
– She is currently a student.
– She never thought about becoming an artist in Japan before joining the audition as she always practiced with the intention to join a Korean agency.
– She was very energetic and social when she was young.
– Her family consists of her parents and two younger brothers.
– She said her family doesn’t pressure her to act out as an older sibling and take care of the younger ones so each of them pursue their own path. (BLACK&WHITE Vol.6)
– She took part in an audition program in Korea but failed and returned to Japan disappointed and went on in her normal life until she joined the audition.
– She loves to watch Star Wars.
– She was announced as the fourth member of VINII.
– She joined dancing classes in her elementary school because of her parents but she quit it immediately after joining middle school.
– She had decided to quit dancing permanently but resumed after someone asked if she wanted to try again and began taking singing lessons too.
