Violating COVID-19 Quarantine Rules

– On April 14, 2021, she posted photos taken at an arboretum located in Paju, Gyeonggi-do on her Instagram account. The problem arose when the photo of seven people, including Jennie, gathering and holding ice cream in their hands was suspected of violating the COVID-19 quarantine rules.

Indoor-Vaping

– On July 10, 2024, a vlog uploaded on her official Youtube channel “A Moment in Capri with Jennie” showed her vaping indoors and blowing smoke on the face of her makeup artist while getting styled for the Jacquemus fashion show in Italy.
– Fans were unclear at first if the vlog was shot in South Korea or abroad as smoking and vaping indoors is prohibited in the country and the offenders are fined upto 100,000 Won ($72).
– The scene quickly spread among netizens and she issued an apology for her misbehaviour and acknowledged the inconvenience through her own label OA Entertainment. They also said she personally apologized to the staff and promised a more mature behaviour.
