ONEWE (원위), formerly known as M.A.S 0094, is a South Korean five-member Kpop boy band under RBW. The group members consist of Yonghoon, Harin, Kanghyun, Dongmyeong, and Giuk. They first debuted with their former name on August 13, 2015 with the single “Butterfly Find a Flower” under Modern Music.

ONEWE Facts:

– ONEWE first debuted as M.A.S 0094 under Modern Music in 2015 and left the company in 2017.
– The group’s former name M.A.S 0094 stands for “Make A Sound” and the numbers are the birth years of the oldest (1994) and youngest member (2000).
– The band joined RBW and was renamed as “MAS” (dropping the numbers) before finally re-debuting as ONEWE on May 13, 2019 with the single “1/4”.
– Their former fandom name was “L🌸VER (러버)” and their fandom colors were Pastel Lilac and Snow White.
– The group members have the following dorm arrangements: Harin – Giuk and Dongmyong and Yonghoon and Kanghyun.
– The members are not good at eating spicy food except Kanghyun and Yonghoon.
– The group released their debut single a year before officially debuting on August 2, 2016 on SBS MTV’s The Show.
– All ONEWE members except Yonghoon appeared in MAMAMOO’s Solar MV, “It’s Been a Long Time.”

Formation of M.A.S 0094

– Three founding members of the group were Harin, Kanghyun and Giuk and they met while attending Modern K Music Academy.
– Giuk scouted Dongmyeong who was his neighbour and Yonghoon was later recruited as the main vocalist when the band worked with him as his session band for a competition.
– Yonghoon won the competition and the boys asked him to join their band. The band chose the name “M.A.S 0094” and later started busking in Hongdae in 2015.
– Their debut single was written by Giuk and released on the 70th anniversary of Korea’s liberation from Japanese rule and was dedicated to “Comfort Women”. The group donated all the earnings for the support of the surviving women.
