Drug Smuggling Scandal
– In 2014, Park Bom was investigated for drug smuggling (80 amphetamine-containing tablets) through international mail sent by family members in the US. The delivery was stopped at Incheon International Airport customs. Although the drug was illegal in South Korea, it was legal in the US. Bom was not charged but took a long hiatus from the entertainment industry due to the scandal.
