VANNER (배너) is a South Korean 5-member Kpop boy group under VT Entertainment. The group members consist of Taehwan, Gon, Hyesung, Sungkook, and Yeonggwang. They debuted on February 14, 2019, with the single “Better Do Better”.

VANNER Facts:

– The name “VANNER” is a combination of “V” for Victory and “Banner,” symbolizing a flag of victory. This signifies placing the flag of victory at the top.
– Their fandom name VVS, stands for “very very slightly included,” a term used to describe high-quality diamonds. In Korean, VVS is nicknamed “삐삐” (Ppi-Ppi).
– Initially, their group name was intended to be “Too Hot Boys,” but the members expressed opposition to this name, leading to a change.
– VANNER was initially a four member group and Gon was serving as their dance teacher. Later he was also invited to join as the fifth member.
– Members Taehwan, Hyesung, and Sungkook first met as trainees at a previous company. They left the company one by one but were later individually invited to join VT Entertainment.
– Out of all the members, Yeongkwang was the only member that joined VT Entertainment through the company’s traditional auditioning process.
– VANNER signed a three year contract with KLAP Entertainment in May 2023.
– Their lead single “Jackpot” was produced by Pentagon’s Hui and Wooseok, and “Be My Love” was produced by BtoB’s Hyunsik.
– Their slogan “We Make Better” was created by Gon.
– Because of the financial problems of their previous company VT Entertainment, members had to work part-time jobs to support themselves while promoting.
– Taehwan also served as the team’s manager and the fan cafe moderator.
– Every member is the youngest in their family except Taehwan.
– The members participated in the survival show “Peak Time”.
– Taehwan, Hyeseong, and Yeonggwang live in one dorm while Gon and Seongguk live in the other.
