BTOB Members Profile & Facts

BTOB (비투비) is a six-member South Korean boy group under BTOB COMPANY. The group members consist of Eunkwang, Minhyuk, Changsub, Hyunsik, Peniel, and Sungjae. They debuted on March 21, 2012 with the digital single “Insane”. The group was formerly under Cube Entertainment.

BTOB Facts:

– The group’s name, BTOB, translates to BORN TO BEAT.
– The group’s greeting is ‘Born to Beat! Hello, we are BTOB!’.
– They were the first Korean artists to perform at the Thai Supermodel Concert at Bangkok Convention Center and held a press conference with 70 media outlets present.
– The group sang OSTs for popular South Korean dramas including ‘Cinderella and the Four Knights’ and ‘Fight for My Way’.
– They launched their first subunit ‘BtoB Blue’ in September 2016 and their second subunit ‘BtoB 4U’ in October 2020.
– Former member Ilhoon left the group on December 31, 2020 after his drug sandal.
– All members did not renew their contracts and left Cube Entertainment on November 6, 2023 after 11 years.
– Members Peniel, Eunkwang, Minhyuk and Hyunsik established the label ‘BTOB COMPANY’ to manage group activities and members’ solo activities.
– Sungjae was the temporary leader of the group during Eunkwang’s enlistment.

– Their popular songs include ‘Missing You’, ‘Pray’,  ‘For You’ and ‘Only one for me’.

Awards

– The group won their first Bonsang at the 1st Soribada Best K-Music Awards in 2017.
– In 2018, they won “Best Male Group” award at the Golden Disc Awards, ‘Bonsang Award’ at the Korea Popular Music Awards and ‘Top 10 Artists’ at the Melon Music Awards.

5. Peniel
