LUCY (band) Members Profile & Facts

LUCY is a four-member South Korean boy band under Mystic Story. The group members consist of Shin Yechan, Choi Sangyeop, Cho Wonsang, and Shin Gwangil. They debuted on May 8, 2020 with the album “Dear”.

LUCY Profile

LUCY Facts:

– LUCY participated on the survival show “SuperBand” in 2019 and came in 2nd place.
– The group’s name, LUCY, is coined from the Latin word “lux” which means light. Their name also comes from a dog that used to live near Wonsang’s studio.
– The group is labelmates with Billlie, ARrC, DAYBREAK and the soloist EDEN and the manhwaga Kian84.
– All LUCY members of the band are Protestant Christians.
– They went on a nationwide tour with Superband in 2019 but Lee Ju Hyuk was not able to join the band for the concert due to conflicting schedules with his original band “GIFT”. He decided to depart from LUCY to focus on his other band and was replaced by Choi Sang-yeop, who was originally eliminated in the first round of Superband.

Major Works

– Their popular songs include “Jogging”, “Flowering”, “Run To You” and “Hero”.

Awards

– The group received the ‘Favorite Band Performence’ at the ‘Hanteo Music Awards’ and “Universal Rock Band Icon” at the Universal Superstar Awards in 2024.

1. Shin Yechan

Shin Yechan Facts:

– Yechan didn’t finish the last stage of Zelda for a while because he didn’t like the sad ending and wanted to enjoy the game more. (allkpop)

– He is nicknamed “Madnae” (맏내), combining “madhyung” (eldest) and “maknae” (youngest), because he’s the oldest but often behaves like the youngest.

2. Choi Sangyeop

3. Cho Wonsang

Cho Wonsang Facts:

– Wonsang is someone who needs a lot of help according to Sangyeop and he often gets himself in the wrong place or gets the time wrong when meeting.
– He loves studying astronomy, meteorology, relativity, and quantum mechanics.
– He was classmates with Zelo from B.A.P and Joy from Red Velvet in high school.
– He and Yechan are very close.
