SB Boyz is a four-member Kpop trainee boy group under Singing Beetle Entertainment. The group members consist of Kenny, Hyuk, Seok and Aito. They are expected to debut in late 2024 in the USA.

– SB Boyz is founded by the famous A&R/songwriter Michelle Cho who has written songs for artists/shows like SEVENTEEN, EXO’s Baekhyun and Kai, Queendom Puzzle, and  Produce 101.
– The group will debut the first North Korean idols in the Kpop industry.
– SB Boyz is a placeholder name and the group’s name will change after its official announcement.
– The group plans to add more members.

1. Hyuk

Hyuk Facts:

– Hyuk is the oldest member of SB Boyz.
– He traveled through three countries to gain his freedom from North Korea. (Wall Street Journal)
– He got interested in music and rap after he saw the show “Show Me The Money.”
– He buys a lot of food for the members.
– He got introduced to kpop with EXO’s song “Growl”.
– He likes the smell of asphalt used for construction, and used to rub it on his hands when he was a kid. (UNPLUGGED EP.71)
– He treated the members and company to an expensive BBQ after he earned his first royalty check from participating in writing for TWICE’s subunit “Misamo”.
– His first impression of Aito was that he was older than them.
– He joined as the very first trainee at Singing Beetle Entertainment.
– His friends thought the company was a fraud because they couldn’t believe he would be able to sing.
– He loves to eat meat.
– He realized his family’s poor financial conditions when his grandmother picked up rice grains from the floor at the train station.

2. Seok

Seok Facts:

– Seok moved to South Korea at the age of 19.
– He hates potatoes because he lived in a rural region Daehongdan, North Korea for 10 months which is famous for potatoes and people there eat it for all three meals of the day. (UNPLUGGED EP.38)

– His favorite foods include kimchi and coffee.

– He was a professional soccer player in both North and South Korea and his position was a striker.

Kenny Facts:

– Hyuk buys a lot of snacks for him.
