NiziU (虹U/ニジユ/니쥬/ニジュー) is a South Korean 9-member Kpop girl group under JYP Entertainment. The group members consist of Mako, Rio, Maya, Riku, Ayaka, Mayuka, Rima, Miihi, and Nina. They made their Japanese debut on December 2nd, 2020 with the single “Step and a Step”.  They made their South Korean debut on October 30th, 2023, with the single album “Press Play”.

NiziU Facts:

– NiziU is JYP Entertainment’s first-ever Japanese girl group.
– The name NiziU comes from the Japanese word “虹” (niji), which means “rainbow.” The letters in Nizi are arranged to form a ballot box (☒), which symbolises the diversity of members and each member representing different colors like a rainbow. The ‘U’ in NiziU represents the supportive fans, and when pronounced a certain way, it sounds like “Need You”.
