WINNER (위너) is a four-member Kpop boy group under YG Entertainment. The group members consist of Yoon, Jinu, Hoony and Mino. They debuted on August 12, 2014, with the album ‘2014 S/S’.

WINNER Facts:

– WINNER was formed on the survival TV show “WIN: Who Is Next” after they being Team A won against Team B (which later became iKON).
– The group’s greeting is “Guess who’s back? Hello, we are WINNER!”.
– Mino was actually the leader of the group pre-debut during their survival show appearance but he was unable to lead the group during their practice because of his ankle injury so Yoon was appointed as the leader.
– They were titled ‘Monster Rookies’ because they had a very successful debut and had their first win only five days after their debut.
– It was announced that former member Taehyun left the group November 26, 2016.
– Their MV for the song ‘Really Really’ was directed by Dave Meyers who also directed CL’s ‘Lifted’, Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’ and Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Humble’.
– WINNER is a self producing group like SEVENTEEN and the members write their own songs, especially Yoon who is the mastermind behind their most popular songs like ‘Really Really’ and ‘AH YEAH’.
– Until 2019, they were the fastest Korean act to rank top on the Billboard World Album Chart just with their debut album while also topping charts domestically in Korea.

Yoon Facts:

– Yoon is the richest member in the group from the money made from the WINNER’s songs.

– He can’t go to karaoke because if he uses his voice too much, he loses his voice for a week. 
– Hoony describes his style as ‘pocket boy’ because he wears clothes that have a lot of pockets. (Allure)

2. Jinu

Jinu Facts:

– Jinu is an expert on skincare in the group.
– He thinks the most precious thing in life is ‘happiness’.
– He is considered one of the most attractive kpop idols along with V from BTS and Cha Eun Woo from Astro. (The Korea Times)
– He wants to work as an actor in a romance genre.
– He was very shy and couldn’t talk well as a trainee and once ran away because it was so exhausting and went back after half a day crying when he got a call.
