The Rose (더로즈) is a South Korean four-member boy band under Windfall. The group members consist of Hajoon, Woosung, Dojoon, and Jaehyeong. They debuted on August 3, 2017 with their single “Sorry”.

The Rose Facts:
– The group was named, The Rose, because they aim to show music “ that coexisted with the beauty of flowers and the sharpness of thorns.”

The Rose Formation
– Dojoon and Jaehyeong first met in 2015 while busking in Hongdae and Jaehyeong met Hajoon a year later. All three of them got together to establish the band “Windfall”.
– The band used to upload covers on Youtube and also performed on the streets. Later Woosung was recruited by Dojoon and the band’s name changed to The Rose.
– They got signed under J&Star Company and made their official debut.
Lawsuit against J&Star
– The Rose initially debuted under J&Star Company in 2017 and the group filed a lawsuit against the company for mismanagement on February 28, 2020.
– Their reasons were because they were overworked, not getting paid and were working very hard with tours and album releases but were getting little to no profit. (Spin)
