All BabyMonster members started their training young when they were in elementary and middle school. YG Entertainment announced the formation of a new girl group after Black Pink back in 2020 and all the trainees had to go through tough training and evaluations before seven of them were included in the final lineup of BabyMonster.
Since the group is scheduled to debut in the fall of 2023 and most of the members are young, they will mostly likely debut as minors except for Ruka. Here is all you need to know about the age and birthday of all BabyMonster members, Ruka, Asa, Pharita, Rora, Ahyeon, Haram, and Chiquita.
Age and Birthday of All BabyMonster Members Explained
– Ruka was born on March 20, 2002, and is 22 years old.
– Pharita was born on August 26, 2005, and is 18 years old.
– Asa was born on April 17, 2006, and is 18 years old.
– Ahyeon was born on April 11, 2007, and is 17 years old.
– Haram was born on October 17, 2007, and is 16 years old.
– Rora was born on August 14, 2008, and is 15 years old.
– Chiquita was born on February 17, 2009, and is 15 years old.

If BabyMonster debuts after August, then Pharita and Ruka would be the only ones to debut as adults in the group. If not, all the members would be minors except for Ruka who also had the longest training period in the group of around 5 years. Chiquita is the maknae (youngest) in the group and she had the shortest training period of around 1 year and 9 months. Her debut age would be 14 years which is similar to Hyein from NewJeans and Leeseo from IVE who were 14 years old at the time of debut and both are maknaes of their respective groups. The maknae line of most K-pop groups usually debuts when they are around 14-16 years old.
Ruka is the oldest member in the group and has the most training experience but YG Entertainment’s CEO chose Ahyeon as a strong candidate for the leadership position because of her leadership qualities. RM was also chosen as the leader BTS even though he falls into the same age hierarchy as Ahyeon and both are the fourth oldest in their groups. The age gap between the oldest and youngest member of BabyMonster is very wide of around 7 years.
